2021 Three Day Cleanse

If you think you don’t have any need to do a cleanse—if you’re sure you couldn’t possibly be harboring any toxins in your body—think again. In today’s world, there are poisons and pathogens that threaten our health starting before we’re even born, and they continue to hold us back as we encounter them in our everyday life. Cleansing is a vital tool for fighting against these burdens—as long as you go about it the right way.


I'm inviting you to join me for our 1st cleanse of the year. I'm starting Tuesday the 5th which will give me time to shop and prepare ingredients for the soups, salads and smoothies included. WE NEED TO CLEANSE

Is Cleansing a Myth?

A rising belief in the health world is that we don’t need to take special detox measures because the body does so naturally. What these experts don’t understand is that we’re not only up against daily toxins, we’re up against pathogens: viruses and bacteria that are rapidly moving through the population, causing autoimmune diagnoses and more in people all the way from children to the elderly. We’re up against toxic heavy metals, pesticides, herbicides, solvents, petroleum-based products, and other modern day chemical warfare that’s subliminally part of our everyday lives.


The Cleanse


UPON WAKING

16 OUNCES LEMON OR LIME WATER (RECIPE BELOW)

MORNING

WAIT 15 TO 30 MINUTES, THEN: 16 OUNCES OF JUICE (RECIPE BELOW)

WAIT ANOTHER 15 TO 30 MINUTES

THEN

BREAKFAST - SMOOTHIE (RECIPE BELOW)

AND LATER IF DESIRED

APPLE OR APPLE SAUCE

LUNCHTIME

MEAL OF YOUR CHOICE( RECIPES BELOW)

MID AFTERNOON

OPTIONAL: APPLE (OR APPLESAUCE) WITH ONE TO FOUR DATES, CUCUMBER SLICES AND CELERY STICKS

DINNERTIME

MEAL OF YOUR CHOICE (RECIPES BELOW)

EVENING

APPLE (OR APPLESAUCE)

16 OUNCES LEMON OR LIME WATER

HIBISCUS OR LEMON BALM TEA


GIUDELINES

Avoid radical fats (nuts, seeds, oils, olives, coconut, avocado cocoa, bone broth, animal proteins, entirely. Skip beans too


Avoid these foods, eggs,, dairy, gluten, soft drinks, salt and seasonings, pork, corn, oils (including both industrial and healthier oils) soy,, lamb, tuna and all other fish and seafood, vinegar (including ACV) caffeine (including coffee, matcha and chocolate) grains (millet and oats are okay) alcohol, natural artificial flavors, fermented foods, (including kombucha, sauerkraut and coconut aminos) nutritional yeast, citric acid, monosodium glutamate (MSG), aspartame, other artificial sweeteners, formaldehyde and preservatives

Instead, stick to fruits, vegetables, leafy greens

Eat the portions that are right for you

Stay hydrated by drinking about 1 liter (roughly 32 ops ) of water during the day in between your morning and evening lemon or lime water.


RECIPES


LEMON OR LIME WATER

1/2 lemon or 2 limes, freshly cut

16 ounces (2 cups) water

Squeeze the juice from the freshly cut lon or limes into the water, straining seeds.


LEMON, GINGER AND HONEY WATER

1 to 2 inches fresh ginger

2 cups water

1/2 lemon, juiced

1 teaspoon raw honey

Grate the winer into 2 cups of water. Allow the water to steep for at least 15 minutes and ideally longer. You can even leave it step-in in the fridge overnight if you wish. when you’re ready to drink it, strain the winer out of the water, add the lemon juice and honey and stir.


CUCUMBER JUICE

2 Large Cucumbers

Rinse the cucumbers and run them through the juicer of your choice. Drink immediately on an empty stomach for best results. If you don’t have access to a juicer, here’s how to make it instead.

Rinse the cucumbers, chop and blend them in a high speed blender until smooth. don’t add water. Strain the liquified cucumber well. Drink immediately.


CUCUMBER - APPLE JUICE

1 Large Cucumber

3 Apples

Run the ingredients through a juicer. Enjoy immediately for best results. Store any leftover juice in an airtight container in fridge.

Alternatively chop all the ingredients and blend them together


BREAKFAST


LIVER RESCUE SMOOTHIE


2 Bananas

3 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

1/2 cup water

COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS IN A BLENDER. BLEND UNTIL SMOOTH


HEAVY METAL DETOX SMOOTHIE

2 Bananas

2 Cups fresh or frozen blueberries

1 cup fresh cilantro

1 teaspoon barley grass juice powder

1 teaspoon spiraling

1 orange

1/2 to 1 cup water

Combine and blend - if barley juice powder and spiralina make it too strong star with a small amount and work up each day.


MELON SMOOTHIE

3 to 4 cups cubed melon (watermelon,, cantaloup, honey dew, etc.

Place melon in a blender and blend until smooth - Pour into a glass and serve


GREEN SMOOTHIE

3 medium sized bananas, chopped

1 to 2 stalks celery chopped

4 cups spinach

1 cup water

Blend


LUNCH



SALAD

4 cups leafy greens (such as spinach, arugula, romaine lettuce, etc.

2 tablespoons lemon or lime juice


Additions

1/4 cup halved cherry tomatoes or chopped tomatoes

1/2 cup chopped cucumber

1/4 cup thinly sliced red cabbage

1/4 cup sliced red onion


LEMON ASPARAGUS WITH ROASTED TOMATO & SPINACH SALAD

Salad

3 cups cherry tomatoes

4 cups spinach

1 cup roughly chopped basil

1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Asparagus

1 lb asparagus ends trimmed

2 tablespoons lemon juice

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Line a baking dish with parchment paper

Place tomatoes in the baking dish Roast for 15 to 20 minutes set aside

While tomatoes are roasting steam asparagus 6-9 minutes - Place in bowl and add lemon juice

Toss together


STEAMED ZUCCHINI/SUMMER SQUAS

1 medium sized zucchini, sliced

1 medium sized summer squash sliced

Steam and Serve


DINNER



ROASTED RED PEPPER AND TOMATO SOUP

1 pound chopped red bell peppers

1 pound plum tomatoes

1 cup diced onion3 garlic closes roughly chopped

1/2 cup chopped celery

1 1/2 cups water or Liver Rescue Broth

Fresh basil to serve

Preheat over to 400 degrees. Line a baking dish with parchment paper

Add chopped peppers, tomatoes, diced onion, garlic, celery to the baking dish, mix well - Roast for 20-25 minutes

Remove and add to blender together with the water. Blend until smooth, Pour into a pot and heat until simmering.


ZUCCHINI BASIL SOUP

1 cup diced onion

3 garlic cloves minced

3 medium sized zucchini chopped

2 1/2 cups water or Liver Rescue Broth

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Cook onion and garlic until the onion is translucent adding a little water

add the chopped zucchini and cook for 5 minutes

add the water or broth Simmer and cook for 10 to 15 minutes -

Blend or use immersion blender until smooth

Pour soup back in the pot and bring to a simmer.


POTATO BROCCOLI SOUP

3 cups diced potatoes

1 cup diced carrot

1 1/2 teaspoon turmeric

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

2 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 cup water or liver rescue broth

1 medium sized head broccoli, chopped into bite sized pieces

Steam potatoes and carrots for 8-12 minutes

Place in blender with turmeric, garlic powder, onion powder paprika, lemon juice water or broth and blend until smooth Pour in pot and bring to a simmer

To make broccoli steam until tender and stir into the soup


LIVER RESCUE BROTH

1 bunch celery, diced

6 carrots diced

1 butternut squash (cubed)

2 yellow onions

1 inch ginger root peeled and minced

1 inch turmeric root, peeled and minced

1 cup cilantro

6 garlic cloves peeled

12 cups water

Place all the ingredients into a large stock pot - Simmer for at least an hour

Strain and add to soups
